I’ve been a first responder for more than 20 years, have a Masters of Science in Biology, and have trained in BJJ for almost 3 decades. This has put me smack dab in the middle of the Covid-19 controversy within jiu-jitsu.
In the past year I’ve been pretty outspoken about taking science seriously, fighting against conspiracy theories, and how to teach and train BJJ more safely during a pandemic.
So given that background I was happy to have Dr Daniel Goldberg on my podcast recently to talk about the Covid-19 pandemic, the denialist movement, and when we might be able to get back to normal
Dr Goldberg is a medical historian, a public health ethicist, a lawyer and has practiced BJJ for 8 years.
Here’s what we talked about…
00:50 – Introduction to Daniel Goldberg
06:09 – On the difficulty of persuading the unpersuadeable
08:02 – How the current pandemic has many historical precedents
12:20 – Vaccine distribution in the USA
