Here’s a game-changing video with five drills that helped me fix major holes in my Spider Guard (I’ve been a BJJ black belt for a long time, but this was never really my best position).
In the first few minutes of working with Elliott on my Spider Guard I realised that I had been doing several things totally wrong in this position for years.
The first two drills helped me fix that problem, and my Spider Guard jumped up a full belt level overnight, which was a pretty amazing feeling. That was also the moment when I knew that what Elliott had was going to help a LOT of people elevate their game to the next level.
Your advanced Spider Guard techniques are dependent on you having rock solid fundamentals.
That’s why the Spider Guard Masterclass instructional that I will be releasing soon includes a section on the fundamentals of this guard position, a small part of which are the five Spider Guard drills that you need to learn first.
Your Spider Guard will live and die by your ability to do these five drills. And your proficiency with these drills will have a huge carry-over to your ability to perform in other guard positions as well!
This is an 11 minute clip, which is pretty long but it represents less than two percent of the entire instructional! That’s why it’s no exaggeration to say that this is going to be the most comprehensive open guard instructional ever produced. Hopefully it will be out soon, but for now, enjoy the teaching below.
I hope these drills help you as much as they helped me!
