Ambush Armbar from Modified Scarf Hold
I might not be 100% correct with the actual wording, but I’ll always remember this fantastic quote from Karate legend Bill ‘Superfoot’ Wallace which I read in Black Belt magazine many years ago. It went something like this:
Ain’t that the truth! Sneakiness really levels the playing field when it comes to fighting bigger opponents and kicking their butts. This applies to any martial art, regardless of whether it’s full contact Karate or no gi submission grappling.
The following video clip covers one of the sneakiest armbar attacks that I’ve seen in a long, long time. Your opponents will be caught completely flat-footed by it, and have no choice but to tap out right away!
P.S. This technique is excerpted from Disk 3, No Gi Sweeps and Submissions of the 5 DVD Grapplearts instructional ‘How to Defeat the Bigger Stronger Opponent in No Gi‘ featuring world champion Emily Kwok and Stephan Kesting
